Recently, Gate Charity, the nonprofit philanthropic foundation under Gate, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, successfully carried out a relief initiative for families affected by floods and storms in central Vietnam. The distribution took place on December 17 in Dak Lak Province, a region that has been severely impacted by continuous heavy rainfall since November.
According to local reports, ongoing heavy rains have caused flooding, submerging sections of National Highway 29. The affected stretch is approximately 200 meters long, with water levels in some areas exceeding one meter. The disaster continues to affect the region. To ensure public safety, local authorities have implemented traffic controls and detours along the impacted routes.
In response to the disaster, Gate Charity distributed essential supplies such as rice and instant noodles to affected families. These provisions helped alleviate immediate post-disaster hardships, supported families in meeting their basic daily needs, and aided their gradual return to normal life.
Gate Charity worked closely with local community representatives to coordinate the distribution, focusing on families most severely impacted by the flooding. The organization stated that it will continue to monitor the situation, maintain communication with the community, and assess the need for further assistance as circumstances evolve.
