Ethereum weekly blob fees hit a new low for 2025.

PANews reported on April 2 that, according to Cointelegraph, the Ethereum network’s main source of revenue from the Layer2 extension chain - “blob fees” - has fallen to the lowest weekly level this year. In a post on the X platform, Etherscan noted that in the week ending March 30, Ethereum earned only 3.18 ETH through blob fees (about $6,000 at the April 1 price). That’s a 73% drop from the previous week, and a plunge of more than 95% from the peak of 84 ETH in the week of March 16.
