Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, has committed to increasing investment in the United Kingdom’s artificial intelligence (AI) sector, calling it a “Goldilocks situation” for AI development. During an event with Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Investment Minister Poppy Gustafsson, Huang emphasized the UK’s rich AI talent and vibrant startup environment.

He stated, “You cannot do machine learning without machines,” and affirmed that he would invest here. Huang also named leading startups such as DeepMind and Wayve as evidence of the UK’s AI position. However, he pointed out that an independent AI infrastructure is needed to support the ecosystem. Nvidia also announced the launch of an independent AI industry forum in the UK and supported the deployment of Blackwell GPU chips to enhance the country’s AI capabilities.
