A gold mine collapse in Colombia leaves 18 trapped.

Jin10 data reported on July 18, that on July 17 local time, a gold mine in Remedios, located in the northeastern region of Antioquia, Colombia, experienced a collapse, trapping 18 miners. The mayor’s office of Remedios reported that a transportation frame loaded with materials in the mine’s water channel fell, causing the collapse of the mine’s exit structure and affecting the ventilation system. Currently, rescue personnel have restored the operation of the mine’s internal ventilation system, and rescue efforts are underway.
