July 21, 2025 - Berachain announced the official launch of its core incentive module “Proof of Liquidity v2 (PoL v2)”, marking the first time that $BERA holders can directly participate in the protocol’s native revenue stream through staking, enhancing the token’s value capture capability.

This upgrade introduces a buyback mechanism driven by PoL incentives, where all non-$BERA incentives will be automatically converted into $BERA for distributing profits to stakers. This mechanism does not change the existing operation of PoL in the DApp and the treasury. Users can directly participate in staking through hub.berachain.com/stake and enjoy a simple and transparent on-chain profit experience.

The specific features of the staking mechanism include:

● Native yield path: Users stake $BERA to receive protocol earnings after the $BERA buyback; ● 7-day unbinding period: Encouraging long-term stake behavior and restraining short-term arbitrage; ● Batch yield injection: Initially updated 2-3 times a week, and will increase to daily updates later; ● Liquidity staking support is in planning. ● The APR will be updated on BeraHub within 24 hours after launch.

All related contracts for PoL v2 have now been deployed to the mainnet, and users can immediately participate in staking and share in the protocol’s growth dividends.
