Gate News bot message, Smart Trader “0xcb9” has expanded their Ethereum short position by adding 20,000 ETH to their existing position. The trader’s total short position now stands at 40,000 ETH, with a current value of $140 million.

The position is currently showing a floating profit of $7.5 million. According to Onchain Lens, the trader had previously deposited $4.68M USDC into HyperLiquid, establishing an ETH short position with 20x leverage. In their previous ETH short trading activity, the trader had accumulated profits exceeding $20M but ultimately recorded an $802K loss after failing to close the position.
