Shiba Inu Warns SHIB Holders: New Scams Target Wallets Through Fake Discord Servers

The Shiba Inu team has issued an urgent warning to its community about a new wave of scams designed to steal cryptocurrencies. Attackers are exploiting fake Discord servers, using expired invite links to lure users into connecting their wallets or approving malicious applications.

Fake Servers Imitate Official Branding According to the developers, scammers are hijacking expired Discord invitations and replacing them with convincingly cloned servers that copy SHIB’s visual identity and communication style. Once SHIB holders are tricked into “verifying” their account, connecting their wallet, or enabling malicious dApps, they can lose all of their tokens — not just SHIB but other digital assets as well — within minutes. The Shibarium Trustwatch account has also warned that these scams can look extremely authentic. The team strongly advises verifying all links only via the official website shiba.io and never approving transactions from unverified sources.

Incident with a Compromised Wallet Concerns in the community escalated after a user reported that their Shiba Inu: Deployer 1 wallet had been hacked and that new tokens had been launched from it without authorization.

Developer Kaal Dhairya assured the community that no official ecosystems are linked to the compromised wallet, but warned that any future tokens originating from this address could be fraudulent and should be avoided.

Shibarium Technology Improvements Despite security issues, the team continues to push forward with development. It recently updated the Shibarium Developer Hub to provide clear guidelines on managing validator nodes and building on the Ethereum Layer-2 network. The goal is to enhance decentralization and involve more developers, thereby increasing the ecosystem’s resilience.

Upcoming DAO Elections The Shiba Inu ecosystem is also preparing for major governance changes — upcoming elections will select a lead visionary and DAO council members to oversee its multi-billion-dollar token economy.

However, not everyone is happy with the current leadership. Some community members, including WoofSwap, have criticized project lead Shytoshi Kusama for a lack of transparency and engagement, calling for a leader who listens more closely to the community and focuses on its needs.

Security First For now, the top priority for SHIB holders is safeguarding their assets. The safest approach is to verify all links and information through official channels and never rush into connecting wallets or approving transactions.
