This collaboration integrates Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) with Symbiotic's universal staking framework, creating an additional cryptoeconomic security layer for LBTC cross-chain transmission. By combining Symbiotic's permissionless re-staking architecture with CCIP's modular security framework, this partnership establishes a new standard for top-tier BTC derivation while achieving maximum interoperability and cryptoeconomic security. This collaboration showcases the robust flexibility of the CCIP modular security architecture, enabling asset issuers to customize protective solutions for cross-chain transfers without requiring any modifications to the CCIP itself through features such as Token developer verification and external cryptoeconomic system integration. Additionally, staking features will be offered on the Lombard application, allowing users to enjoy BARD-denominated returns at a 240% APY upon launch (decreasing over time) along with extra incentives from partners.
