Giggle Academy by CZ Raises Over $1.3 Million Thanks to $GIGGLE Memecoin

A Fast Start: Donations Driven by a Memecoin Giggle Academy, the educational platform founded by former Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, managed to raise more than $1.3 million in donations within just half a day. The key driver was the newly launched memecoin $GIGGLE, which automatically channels its trading fees directly to the academy’s donation wallet. According to BscScan, the donation address has already accumulated more than 1,311 BNB, worth over $1.3 million.

Giggle Fund and the Role of RUNE The memecoin was launched by an X user known as RUNE, who created the Giggle Fund. The mechanism collects trading fees in BNB and transfers them to Giggle Academy. Since its launch, the fund has executed nearly 10,000 transactions, with more than 960 of them directed as donations to the academy. Data from DEX Screener shows that in the last 24 hours alone, Giggle Fund transactions surged by more than 470%, with a daily volume reaching $2.8 million.

CZ: Donations Will Be Converted When asked about memecoin-related donations, CZ clarified on X that all such contributions would eventually be converted or sold into major altcoins. “We appreciate donations, but please don’t complain later about selling pressure,” he wrote. RUNE later explained that in the case of $GIGGLE, donations are automatically processed in BNB through transaction fees, meaning “no one is negatively affected.”

Free Education for Millions of Children Giggle Academy aims to provide free education to children from kindergarten through 12th grade. The project is not meant to replace traditional schooling but to complement it with practical and modern subjects such as finance, negotiation, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. Traditional subjects like math, reading, writing, and natural sciences will also be included. However, the academy deliberately avoids history and religion to sidestep potential global disputes. According to the project’s whitepaper, teachers will be able to contribute their own educational materials and receive rewards, while top-performing students will also earn incentives to reach their full potential.

An Ambitious Goal CZ has stated that the project’s ambition is to bring education to as many as 100 million to 1 billion children worldwide in the coming years, particularly in poorer and developing regions.
