The Gate cryptocurrency exchange has just introduced Gate Fun, an on-chain platform that allows users to issue and trade tokens without the need for programming skills. This platform runs on Gate Layer, the new layer-2 network launched by Gate, built on the OP Stack.
Gate announced that users can create tokens in less than a minute by paying a small gas fee in GT, the native token of the network. Similar to the popular token issuance platform Pump.fun, token parameters such as name, symbol, and initial purchase options can be easily customized through the one-click interface.
Gate Fun can be accessed through Web3 wallets like MetaMask or Gate's own account system. Tokens issued on the platform can be traded across various Gate products, including Gate Alpha, Meme Go, and Swap.
The launch of Gate Fun takes place right after Gate introduced Gate Layer, a high-performance layer-2 rollup based on OP Stack and connected to GateChain. In addition to Gate Fun, Gate also deploys other applications on this network such as Perp, a perpetual contract trading hub, and Meme Go, a meme token tracking tool.
Currently, the GT token is trading at 16.23 USD, down about 1.9% in the last 24 hours.
