The leaders of the US and Canada held talks at the White House to discuss issues such as tariffs.

Jin10 reported on October 8 that on October 7 local time, U.S. President Trump held talks with visiting Canadian Prime Minister Carney at the White House, where they discussed issues such as trade and Gaza. Trump stated that serious negotiations are underway regarding the Gaza issue, and he believes that peace is possible in the Middle East. Trump mentioned that the U.S. and Canada will cooperate on the U.S. “Iron Dome” missile defense program. Trump also stated that the U.S. will impose tariffs on Canada, and he believes Canada will be very willing to accept this, as the U.S. will treat Canada fairly.
