BlackRock's BUIDL tokenization fund has sent approximately $500 million onto the Polygon network, according to confirmation from Polygon CEO Sandeep Nailwal. This is one of the largest moves by traditional financial institutions into the blockchain space, demonstrating strong confidence in Polygon's infrastructure.

This investment helps increase liquidity and the total value locked (TVL) in the Polygon ecosystem, while also showcasing the expansion of traditional finance into decentralized finance. BlackRock's choice of Polygon as the platform for its on-chain deployment could drive demand for tokens and applications on this network, as well as strengthen Polygon's position in the tokenized real asset space (RWA).

According to Nailwal, “The on-chain deposit of 500 million dollars from BUIDL is real and directly related to BlackRock's deployment.”
