Odaily Planet Daily reports that MLM posted on the X platform that about 13 hours ago, someone withdrew 3 million USDC from an exchange and dispersed it into 19 wallets. Around 14:45 Central European Time, they started going long on POPCAT worth millions of dollars, purchasing buy orders of approximately 20 million USD at a price of $0.21. The total long position across the 19 wallets grew to about 30 million USD. When they removed buy orders totaling up to 8 figures, the position was liquidated within seconds, resulting in a loss of 20 to 30 million USD in POPCAT longs. Hyperliquid took over the position, and POPCAT subsequently dropped further, causing Hyperliquid to incur a loss of about 4.9 million USD. Hyperliquid then manually closed the position. This was clearly an intentional interference with Hyperliquid, as no one would lose 3 million USD in just seconds out of stupidity or carelessness.
