Alibaba's Q2 revenue exceeded expectations but profit was disappointing, Ant Group's profit increased by 10.3% year-on-year.

PANews, November 25th news, according to Jin10, Alibaba (09988.HK) reported that its revenue for the second fiscal quarter of FY2026 reached 247.795 billion RMB, a year-on-year rise of 4.8%, exceeding market expectations. Among them, cloud intelligence revenue of 39.82 billion RMB was higher than estimated, and Ant Group's profit reached 8.37 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%. However, the adjusted net profit was 10.35 billion RMB, lower than the estimated 16.8 billion RMB, and earnings per ADS were 4.36 RMB, also below expectations. The company stated that it will continue to increase investments in AI and consumer sectors, and short-term profitability will fluctuate.
