“We’re hiring at RippleX and bringing financial institutions fully on-chain to XRP Ledger (XRPL),” J. Ayo Akinyele, head of engineering at RippleX, said on social media platform X on Nov. 24. He added:

“We’re designing the backbone of on-chain financial primitives — and reimagining what a sustainable, high-performance blockchain can unlock for institutions, developers, and millions of users,” he noted. Ripple said the C++ position in New York focuses on advancing XRPL’s scalability, performance, reliability, and broader ledger functionality. Duties include lifecycle development, architecture input, C++ feature work, debugging, performance checks, and participation in XRPL code reviews. The firm added that candidates should have more than five years of C++ experience, a bachelor’s degree in computer science, distributed systems expertise, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

The Senior Software Engineer (C++/Rust) role targets XRPL programmability and smart contract expansion, including maintaining core ledger components and supporting WebAssembly virtual machine integration. Ripple said the position requires C++ and Rust proficiency, WebAssembly runtime experience, architectural engagement, system design documentation, and open-source stewardship.
