ChainCatcher news, TRON officially announced that the java-tron v4.8.1 pre-release version has been officially launched on the Nile Testnet and is a mandatory upgrade version, urging all Nile Nodes to complete the update as soon as possible. This upgrade covers multiple key modules such as consensus core, virtual machine, network, event service, and API, aiming to further enhance the overall capabilities of the TRON network in terms of performance, security, and cross-architecture compatibility. According to the official website of the Nile Testnet, this upgrade comprehensively enhances the performance of the TRON network in terms of architecture compatibility, virtual machine security, network stability, event and API query capabilities, and development toolchain: new support for ARM architecture, introduction of TIP-6780 to adjust the SELFDESTRUCT instruction, optimization of P2P communication and event querying, expansion of block receipt and SR ticket query interfaces, and further upgrades to the toolchain enhance the overall performance and maintainability of the system. It is important to note that the new proposal in the Nile Testnet GreatVoyage-v4.8.1 needs to be decided through on-chain governance voting before it can take effect on the testnet. Whether it will be launched on the mainnet in the future will depend on the upgrade progress and governance results.
