Oracle secures massive computing power contract with OpenAI, as part of the collaboration background

This summer, Oracle signed a contract worth up to $300 billion with OpenAI, responsible for providing the enormous computational capacity needed to train and operate OpenAI’s AI models. This partnership is regarded as one of the largest and most challenging projects in global AI infrastructure development.

In response to external concerns, an Oracle spokesperson stated that the company remains confident in fulfilling all contractual obligations and future expansion plans. Oracle emphasized:

Oracle co-CEO Clay Magouyrk stated during this week’s earnings call that the first data center built for OpenAI in Abilene, Texas, is progressing as planned. He said:

Overall construction progress remains within the planned schedule

Magouyrk also mentioned that Oracle adopts an active and feasible plan to deliver global data center capacity.
