BlockBeats News, January 9 – The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics will release the first non-farm payroll data for 2026 tonight at 21:30, with an expected increase of 60,000 jobs, compared to the previous figure of 64,000 jobs. The non-farm payroll report details changes in employment in the U.S. non-farm sector, excluding agricultural employment.

The U.S. non-farm employment data is obtained through sampling surveys of U.S. businesses, government agencies, and non-agricultural sectors. On the first Friday of each month, the U.S. Department of Labor releases the previous month’s non-farm employment report.

At the same time, the December unemployment rate in the U.S. will also be announced, with an expected 4.50%, compared to the previous 4.60%.
