2025 Non-Farm Summary: Labor Market Momentum Exhausted, Annual Growth Rate Hits 15-Year Low

PANews January 9 News, according to Jintiao reports, today’s non-farm payroll data shows that the total employment in the United States in 2025 increased by only 584,000 people. This is the weakest growth since 2020, when employment sharply declined by 9.2 million due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Looking back to the pre-pandemic period, during the entire expansion from 2010 to 2019, there has never been an annual increase as low as 58.4 thousand people.
