Audrey Freeman: Mild inflation expectations in December still support a bearish view on the dollar

ChainCatcher News, according to Jinshi, foreign exchange strategist Audrey Freeman stated that as expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut begin to be questioned, the moderate December CPI data provided a welcome relief, indicating that it is still premature to abandon expectations of a dovish shift by the Federal Reserve this year. This also means that it may still be premature to give up the bearish outlook on the dollar driven by the Federal Reserve’s rate cuts in 2026.
