ChainCatcher News, according to TheBlock reports, data shows that since mid-December, Ethereum transaction activity has surged significantly, with the seven-day moving average transaction volume approaching 2.5 million, a new all-time high, nearly double that of the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the average gas fee has dropped to a notably low level, currently around $0.15, the lowest in the network’s modern history. Etherscan’s gas data indicates that transaction costs could be even lower, with the average gas fee for swap transactions on Sunday around $0.04.
