Good News for NFT and Blockchain Games from Epic Games: "They Will Be Listed!"

The Epic Games Store, the game and software store of the Epic Games company, has made changes that will allow some blockchain games to be listed on its platform again. Company; It has announced that it will now accept games rated “Adults Only” due to its NFT and blockchain elements.

According to the ESRB, some blockchain games will receive the “Adults Only” (AO) rating due to the fact that they include the ability to exchange earned digital currency for “real money”. The store excluded all games rated “AO” by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) from its platform and imposed a blanket ban on such a product.

However, the ban was revised shortly after and it was announced that it would be accepted with certain exceptions. The games in question must comply with basic rules that are currently prohibited, such as pornography, gambling, and hate content.

A leading Steam has imposed a blanket ban on blockchain and NFT games since 2021. However, even with this ban in place, developers continue to find ways to launch crypto-related games on this premier storefront.
