The victory of the far-right in France inspires Germany's Alternative for Germany party. Weidel sees Le Pen as a role model.

On July 1st, Jinshi data reported that Alice Weidel, co-leader of the Alternative for Germany (AfD), said that the victory of the National Front in the first round of parliamentary elections set an example for them. “I looked at the election results in France with admiration and respect,” Weidel said on Sunday during a break at the AfD conference in Essen, western Germany. “I think it’s great that Le Pen achieved such outstanding results. Of course, it is also an example for the Alternative for Germany.”
