On October 21st, Jinshi Data reported that Burhan, Chairman of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, met with Tut Gatluak, National Security Advisor to the President of South Sudan, who was visiting the Sudanese port city of Sudan. The two sides discussed the resumption of Sudan’s export of oil from South Sudan. Gatluak said in a statement on the same day that “oil is the lifeline of the two peoples”, and it is necessary to address all obstacles faced by Sudan in exporting oil from South Sudan. The energy and oil departments of the two countries will hold a meeting to discuss how to solve this problem, and the technical teams of both sides are also ready to increase oil production.
