European Central Bank board member Knot: The market has anticipated interest rate cuts in advance, and we need to observe whether it is too optimistic.

DailyNews

PANews reported on October 26 that Benoit Coeuré, a member of the Central Bank’s governing board, said that the market has anticipated the rate cut path in advance. We need to observe in December whether this is too optimistic. If there is an upward inflation risk, policy tightening may be slower. All options regarding Intrerest Rate must be kept open, and decisions need to be made gradually to retain flexibility in choosing Intrerest Rate. Although the economic situation in the eurozone is not very good at the moment, it is not as bad as people say. It is expected that the eurozone will achieve a soft landing, and no recession is expected.
