According to a exclusive report by SET News, police officers from the Criminal Investigation Bureau’s Technology Crime Prevention Center and their girlfriend, surnamed Chen, are suspected of leaking information in a virtual currency case, and were searched and brought back for investigation by the Taichung District Prosecutors Office. However, after the two were released on bail, they took a taxi to the north, and a major accident occurred on the way, resulting in the unfortunate death of Ms. Chen.

The Criminal Investigation Bureau’s Technology Crime Prevention Center recently investigated a Virtual Money case. Due to work needs, the officer involved repeatedly asked his girlfriend, surnamed Chen, to assist in the investigation as a currency flow analyst. However, the Taichung District Prosecutor’s Office suspected that this action involved the leakage of personal information. On 12/3, they conducted a search of the Criminal Investigation Bureau’s Technology Office and brought the officer and Chen back to clarify the situation. After a hearing, the prosecutor ruled that the officer be released on bail of NT$30,000 late at night.

Tragic car accident claims lives, unfortunate events after buying insurance

After completing the insurance procedures, the two took a taxi north in the early morning to return home, and on the way, they were seriously hit by six vehicles at kilometer 77.7 of the Hsinchu section of National Highway No. 1. When the national highway police and ambulance personnel arrived at the scene, they found that his girlfriend surnamed Chen had lost signs of life, and after being rushed to China Medical Hsinchu Hospital for rescue, she was still declared dead due to her injuries. The police officer suffered minor injuries and is currently being treated in hospital. A total of 6 people were injured and 1 was killed in the accident.
