Gate.io News on December 16th, according to the Yonhap News Agency, former leader of the opposition party The People’s Party, Cao Guo, began serving his sentence at the Seoul Detention Center in Yiwang City, Gyeonggi Province. On the morning of the 16th, more than 200 supporters of Cao Guo gathered outside the Seoul Detention Center. Before entering prison, Cao Guo stated that he would do everything possible to prevent the ruling party, The People’s Power, which conspired to launch a coup, from continuing to hold power, and he would fight with all his might to achieve a rotation of power. Supporters held signs and chanted slogans to show their support for Cao Guo. Cao Guo was sentenced to two years in prison by the Supreme Court on the 12th for alleged involvement in academic fraud and obstructing an investigation by the Blue House Inspection Team.
