FBI cracked a $2 million Cryptocurrency kidnapping and ransom case

ChainCatcher News, according to Decrypt, the FBI successfully prevented a kidnapping and ransom case against a Miami jeweler, where the criminal gang intended to steal $2 million worth of Crypto Assets from the victim, according to court documents. Four suspects, Evan Puckett, Trevon Anthony Neal, Zacary Briggs, and Aaron Hammond, have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping and attempted kidnapping. It is reported that the ringleader, Jack, organized this kidnapping plan through Telegram and referred to the group members as ‘henchmen’. The suspect was originally planning to carry out the kidnapping on January 13th, and was carrying a Mac-10 and .223 assault rifle. After receiving a tip-off, the FBI successfully captured all the suspects by installing tracking and recording devices on the kidnapping vehicle. Currently, the four suspects are detained pending trial and will appear in court in Florida on Tuesday.
