Today, Zhiyuan Robotics co-founder and well-known tech influencer KOL Zhihuijun (real name: Peng Zhihui) released a video on social media. In the video, Zhiyuan Robotics officially launched the bipedal intelligent interactive humanoid robot Lingxi X2. It is reported that Lingxi X2 is equipped with an emotional calculation engine, integrating sports, interaction, and task intelligence.

Peng Zhihui revealed that Lingxi X2 has been in development for three months, with video preparation taking one month, making it the most complex project to date. Lingxi X2 can walk naturally like a human, run, turn, and ride a bicycle. Lingxi X2 also carries the multimodal interactive large model ‘Silicon Optic Dynamic Language,’ which can interact naturally and smoothly with people through visual understanding and cognitive world.

“Our ultimate expectation is that robots can become an important denominator in building social productivity.” Peng Zhihui introduced that the body of Lingxi X2 can be equipped with various terminals including dexterous hands, and also has the ability to perform delicate operations. In the video, Lingxi X2 can not only ride a skateboard, play a balance car, ride a bicycle but also complete skills such as “needle threading grapes.”

“There are always people who say that humanoid robots are a romantic trap. However, the Wright brothers’ plane was far heavier than air, and Turing’s computer once filled an entire room. The fact is that people always tend to overestimate the short-term value of a technology, while often underestimating its long-term value,” said Peng Zhihui at the end of the video.

According to Peng Zhihui, Lingxi X2 is a major breakthrough of Zhiyuan Robot in the fields of artificial intelligence and emotion technology, and will continue to explore the application of humanoid robots in more scenarios in the future.

This week, the Wisdom Genie robot has been quite active. Just yesterday, Wisdom Genie released its first universal embodied base model, the Genie Operator-1. Based on this model, the robot can utilize human video learning, achieve rapid generalization with small samples, reduce the threshold for embodied intelligence, and successfully deploy it to various Wisdom Genie robot bodies for continuous evolution.

According to Yao Maoqing, partner of Zhiyuan Robot and President of the Business Department, humanoid robots cannot build core competitiveness solely on hardware. AI capabilities will be the core of future competition. Zhiyuan will take AI as a strategic investment and will release basic models based on reinforcement learning in the next few months.

Yao Maoqing also told the reporter of “Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily” that in the future, around the multi-modal, cognitive planning and reasoning, model training, engineering and other underlying model capabilities of Jieyue Xingchen, Zhiyuan Robot will cooperate deeply with it to empower the capabilities of Jieyue Xingchen to robots.

Yao Maoqing also revealed that Zhiyuan Robot has been included in the ‘Magic Capital Corpus Inclusive Plan’ in Shanghai, unified data interfaces with multiple enterprises, promoted data aggregation, and looked forward to more data transaction mode policies in the future, ‘This will inject new vitality into the industry of embodied intelligence’.

In addition, according to the reporter of ‘Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily’, Zhiyuan Robots has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai State-owned Capital Investment Co., Ltd. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as financial empowerment, collaborative research and development, scenario implementation, and ecological construction, to jointly promote technological breakthroughs and large-scale applications of intelligent technology, and help Shanghai build a globally leading intelligent robot industry cluster.
