Recently, a new fraudulent method has appeared on the messaging app Telegram. Some users received messages from their fren saying ‘Your TG has been marked as fraudulent.’ In the screenshot from fren, they saw their Telegram chat window with a red fraudulent tag. However, this is just the beginning of an eyewash. When you start to worry, ‘your fren’ will ask you to solve the problem through a Telegram Bot called ‘SpnzonBot.’ However, ‘SpnzonBot’ is actually a malicious Bots pretending to be the official ‘Spam Info Bot’ to spread malicious information.
This eyewash activity consists of three parts:
The trusted fren account was stolen
Your account screenshot shows “eyewash”
The stolen fren provided malicious Bots
If such a situation occurs, you can first try to contact fren on another platform to confirm if it is really the message he sent.
In the second segment, you can also see the ‘Nicegram’ logo above your name in the screenshot. Nicegram is an unofficial Telegram software that allows you to switch an unlimited number of accounts on a single device. This is another piece of evidence of another scam group controlling a large number of Telegram accounts for fraud.
When you encounter an unfamiliar Telegram Bot, do not easily link your wallet or provide more personal information to avoid the risk of fraud.
fren comes to remind you that your account has been marked as fraudulent, but your fren has been stolen. In the opponent’s screenshot, you can see the word “fraud” next to your account name. The stolen fren provides malicious TG Bot
