Eurozone March CPI Rises to 2.6% Year-on-Year, Beating Initial Forecast of 2.5%

Gate News message, April 16 — According to Eurostat, eurozone consumer price inflation for March reached 2.6% year-on-year, up from 1.9% in February. The final reading exceeded the preliminary estimate of 2.5%.

Core CPI, which excludes energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco, came in at 2.3% year-on-year for March, matching the preliminary reading but declining from 2.4% in February.
