Iran shot down a U.S. F-15 fighter jet; two crew members are missing.

Gate News message. April 3. According to multiple sources, Iran on Friday (April 2) shot down a U.S. F-15 fighter jet. A search and rescue operation is currently underway to look for two crew members. This is the first time since the start of the Iran war that a U.S. jet fighter has been shot down by enemy fire. On Friday, Iran’s state media released images and videos, purportedly of parts of the crashed aircraft and one of its ejection seats. The photos and videos show it is an F-15 fighter jet. The U.S. military and the White House have not yet responded to the matter.
