Gate News Report, March 23 — On the 23rd, a senior Iranian official stated that U.S. President Trump has no authority to set conditions or deadlines for negotiations. The official also mentioned that the issues of closing the Strait of Hormuz and laying mines remain among Iran’s options for responding to potential actions. On the 23rd, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Bagheri said that Iran has received messages from some friendly countries over the past few days regarding the U.S. demand to end the war through negotiations, and Iran has responded appropriately based on its principles, without holding any negotiations with the U.S.
