Iran's Speaker of Parliament says the armed forces are waiting for U.S. ground operations and will punish its regional allies.

Gate News reported on March 29 that, according to CCTV News, the Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly Speaker Ghalibaf stated today that the United States talks a lot about negotiations on the surface but secretly plans a ground attack. Ghalibaf said that the Iranian armed forces are “waiting” for a U.S. ground attack and will “punish” its regional allies. Previously, U.S. sources indicated that the Pentagon is preparing for “several weeks of ground operations” in Iran. It is still unclear to what extent President Trump will approve the Pentagon’s action plan.
