Israel's Defense Minister Says Ceasefire in Lebanon Impossible While Forces Under Attack

Gate News message, April 27 — Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on April 27 that a ceasefire in Lebanon is impossible while Israeli forces continue to come under attack, during a meeting with UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert. Gallant also warned Hezbollah leader Qassem Soleimani, saying he is “playing with fire.”

Gallant demanded that the Lebanese government ensure Hezbollah first disarms south of the Litani River and then throughout the entire country.
