Gate News message, April 23 — A major centralized exchange has integrated the over-the-counter (OTC) settlement platform of BitGo, a publicly-backed digital asset custodian, to accelerate its expansion in the U.S. institutional market.
The integration enables institutional clients to trade on the exchange while securely holding assets in BitGo’s cold custody, eliminating prefunding requirements and improving capital efficiency. This marks one of the exchange’s first major steps in building U.S. institutional infrastructure, following BitGo’s $25 billion valuation from an investment by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) in early March.
