Gate News message, April 24 — Nakamoto, a Nasdaq-listed company, has announced an actively managed Bitcoin derivatives program running since Q1 2026. The strategy aims to generate recurring volatility income from a portion of the company’s Bitcoin holdings while hedging against downside price risk.
Bitwise Asset Management manages the program through a separately managed account, with Bitcoin holdings maintained by a qualified custody provider and used as collateral. The strategy includes income-generating covered calls and call spreads, as well as downside protection through protective puts and put spreads.
Premiums generated from the strategy will be used to cover hedging costs, increase Bitcoin holdings, or support general corporate purposes. Q1 2026 results will be included in the company’s quarterly 10-Q filing.
