The layoffs will primarily affect the company’s technology division, with impact across North America, Asia, and Europe, representing less than 2% of Nike’s total global workforce.

Chief Operating Officer Venkatesh Alagirisamy stated in a memo to employees: “This is not a new direction, but rather the next phase of work already underway.” The announcement comes as Nike continues to restructure its business through a series of workforce reductions.
