Saudi Arabia and UAE Consider Participating in Operations Against Iran, Have Allowed US Military to Use Domestic Air Bases

Gate News reports that on March 24, according to the Israeli Times, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are gradually accelerating their preparations to actively participate in actions against Iran, as the war in the Middle East poses a threat to their economies. Riyadh has allowed the U.S. military to use an airbase within its territory, and Gulf countries are taking more proactive steps. A source familiar with the decision said that Saudi Arabia’s decision to join the fight is “only a matter of time.” Last week, the Saudi Foreign Minister stated that the country’s tolerance for Iranian attacks “is not without limits.” It is reported that last Thursday, senior officials from different Gulf capitals revealed that although they initially opposed the use of force, Gulf nations are now urging the U.S. to continue striking the Iranian regime to ensure Iran’s military capabilities are sufficiently weakened after the war, so it no longer poses a threat to them. However, these countries have not yet launched any attacks themselves, as Gulf leaders remain extremely concerned about triggering a broader, uncontrollable large-scale conflict.
