BlockBeats News, on March 26, the founder of SlowMist, Yu Xian, stated that Coinbase has taken down the page that allows users to input plaintext seed phrases for asset recovery. For wallets, the security model of online web pages is very low, much lower than extensions and apps. Additionally, collecting plaintext seed phrases on online web pages is easy to imitate by phishing websites and has long been a common phishing method. Finally, as a well-known wallet, from a responsible user perspective, such behavior that undermines wallet security should not exist.
