Sources: Israel May Use Talks to Delay Action Against Hezbollah

GateNews

Gate News message, April 15 — Following trilateral talks between the U.S., Israel, and Lebanon on April 14, sources suggest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may be using negotiations to buy time for further military strikes against Hezbollah.

Multiple sources indicated Netanyahu agreed to the talks partly to appease the U.S. government and partly to delay while continuing operations against the Lebanese militant group.

While Washington hopes the parties can move beyond the 2024 ceasefire agreement toward a comprehensive peace deal, many observers believe the negotiations are unlikely to yield results.
