Trump on War and the Stock Market: I Initially Thought the Stock Market Would Drop More Sharply

When talking about the war and the stock market, he said he originally expected the war with Iran to have a greater impact on the stock market.

He said, “I originally thought the decline would be larger.” He also added, “I thought oil prices would rise higher.” The WSJ noted that the S&P 500 index has fallen for the fifth consecutive week, reaching its lowest level since August of last year.
