UK 10-year gilt yields rise 6 basis points to 5.065%, hitting highest level since 2008

Gate News reports that on March 23, the UK 10-year government bond yield (an indicator reflecting government borrowing costs and market interest rates) opened up 6 basis points to 5.065%, reaching the highest level since 2008. The 30-year government bond yield rose over 6 basis points to 5.632%, hitting the highest since September 2025.
