Visa Launches Intelligent Commerce Connect for AI Agent Payments

Gate News message, April 22 — Visa unveiled Intelligent Commerce Connect, a new service enabling businesses to accept and process purchases initiated by AI agents through a single integration on the Visa Acceptance Platform.

The product supports payment initiation, tokenization, authentication, and spending controls. It can handle transactions paid with both Visa and non-Visa cards, helping businesses accommodate AI-driven transactions as consumers increasingly rely on digital assistants for purchases.

The service is currently in pilot with partners including Aldar, AWS, Diddo, Highnote, Mesh, Payabli, and Sumvin, with a broader rollout planned for later this year.
