Gate News message, April 15 — W Games announced on April 15 that it has acquired an additional 13.33% stake in Paksi Games, its Turkish-based casual gaming subsidiary. Following the transaction, W Games’ total ownership stake in Paksi Games has increased from 60% to 73.33%.
Paksi Games has demonstrated strong growth momentum, with monthly revenue surging approximately 2.4 times from 3.2 billion Korean won in late 2024 to 7.7 billion Korean won in December 2025. Notably, AI-based new titles accounted for 49% of revenue in Q4 2025, driven by the company’s dedicated AI Lab division. W Games expects Paksi Games to achieve profitability in Q1 2026.
Under the original acquisition agreement, W Games plans to sequentially acquire the remaining 26.67% stake through 2028 using treasury stock, contingent on achieving performance targets. This approach minimizes cash outlay while aligning incentives with key personnel at the acquired company, supporting long-term growth. A W Games representative stated that the additional stake acquisition strengthens the long-term partnership with Paksi Games and will enable the company to expand its casual gaming portfolio and enhance global competitiveness through accelerated new title launches and revenue diversification.
