Waymo Expands Robotaxi Service to Miami and Orlando, Launches Highway Testing in Miami

Gate News message, April 16 — Waymo, Google’s autonomous vehicle subsidiary, has expanded its Robotaxi service to all passengers in Miami and Orlando, Florida, ending its previous invite-only operating model. The company has also launched road testing on Miami highways, making Miami the fourth city after Phoenix, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to offer highway autonomous driving operations.

Waymo stated on its official website: “Leveraging our AI technology proven safe and reliable in practice, our general-purpose autonomous driving system achieves stable cross-region deployment. Our progress in Miami and Orlando demonstrates the system’s scalability, bringing the future of mobility to more regions and more people.”
