Lots of people are freaking out about X “banning” crypto ads, but here’s the thing:

This isn’t new.
X has had rules against running paid ads for crypto for a long time, way before August 2024.
Basically, if you’re trying to push crypto through ads, it’s always been a no-go.
What’s happening now is just them actually enforcing the rules, not changing them.
So yeah: nothing surprising, just the same rules in action.
