U.S. stocks open sharply lower, Dow Jones down 1.28%

Mars Finance reports that according to Gate Market Data, the U.S. stock market opened with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 1.28%, the S&P 500 down 1.22%, and the Nasdaq Composite down 1.45%. Popular tech stocks generally declined, with ASML dropping over 5%, TSMC falling nearly 3%, and Amazon, Nvidia, and AMD each dropping about 2%.
