Mars Finance News, March 9 — According to Bloomberg, Oracle Corp. plans to cut thousands of jobs as part of its efforts to address financial strain caused by large-scale AI data center construction.
Sources familiar with the matter say the layoffs will affect multiple departments and could begin as early as this month. Because the plans are still internal, these sources requested anonymity.
Two of the sources indicated that some layoffs will focus on roles expected to see decreased demand in the future, partly because AI applications will replace certain jobs.
