If this model scales, Bitcoin could evolve from a passive treasury asset to the foundation of corporate financial structures. In other words: ✅Bitcoin → reserve asset ✅Securities → built on top of it Stretch may be one of the first experiments in that direction.

The flow looks like this: 1. Investors → buy preferred shares 2. Company → pays them dividends 3. Capital raised → strengthens the balance sheet (often used to buy/hold BTC) Result: Bitcoin stays untouched.

Saylor’s answer is Stretch. ✅Stretch is a structure where the company issues high-yield preferred shares to investors. ✅Investors buy these shares and receive regular dividends. ✅The company raises capital without touching its Bitcoin treasury.

Why call it Stretch? Because the structure “stretches” the economic utility of Bitcoin. Instead of $BTC just sitting on the balance sheet, it becomes the base asset supporting dividend-paying securities.

The core problem: ✅Companies like Strategy hold massive Bitcoin reserves. ✅But shareholders often want income (dividends). ✅Selling BTC to pay dividends breaks the whole “hold Bitcoin forever” strategy. So the question becomes: How do you generate cash without selling BTC?
